The July Time Trial is this Thursday.  We'll meet at 6:00 and the first rider will go off at 6:15.

We're meeting in a different location this time.  Park in the lot by the Bastrop Bayou boat ramp on FM 2004 and come west toward Lake Jackson.

A map of the route is online here.

I'm really bummed i'm going to miss another TT!! This will be my 4th in a row to miss, and I'm hoping for a good turnout none-the-less so it will continue to happen.

Mrs McLovin went on her first 20 mile ride on Sunday (she's sprouting some cycling legs, thanks to Coach Landis motivational talks) and will ride August 19th in the TT (if there is one)… good luck guys…

This was WAY more fun that I expected!  I highly encourage everyone to come out next time (regardless of speed). You'll be surprised what you can pull off!! It was fun and I learned a couple of things too…..

1. I can get my rear moving faster than I thought

2. I can maintain high heart rate for 30 minutes (I set a new max heart rate on my garmin)

3. I need to work on bike handling skills to take the corners faster

4. I need to work on bike speed since my son is right behind me in the standings and breathing down my neck

5. A flat can be a good thing, especially when it happens to your husband while he is trying to catch me & pass me at the time trialLaugh The competative juices are high in the Gray household since both guys are gunning to beat me at the next trial!!!

So pencil the next time trial in your calendar and come out & ride. If nothing else, you can watch the Gray sideshow as now we have our own “family competition” going on!!
